Dr. James Puglisi, the page creator, is the founder and Principal Consultant for Puglisi Consulting LLC working in the field of equity, diversity,  and inclusion. He is a National Diversity Council Certified Diversity Professional and a trained Racial Healing Circle facilitator. He is the former Associate Director of Campus Ministry at St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas, where he focused upon supporting the diverse religious and worldview community at the University. He served in the area of mission integration for the Holy Cross Initiative Team, was on the Planning Grant Committee for the Austin Community College’s Truth, Racial Healing, & Transformation Center. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Allegheny College in Anthropology of Religions. He holds M.A. in Higher Education from Geneva College, an M.A. in Applied Theology from Wheeling Jesuit University, and his Doctor of Ministry is from Catholic Theological Union in the area of Practical Theology. His doctoral thesis was titled “Shalom: The Role of Truth Telling in Creating Communities of Racial Reconciliation within Institutions of Christian Higher Education.” Besides campus ministry, he has worked in Residence Life, Student Activities, Campus Recreation, and even supervised the campus pub (of course at a Jesuit institution). He served as an adjunct in the core curriculum teaches course such as the American Experience, American Dilemmas, and Global Issues: Religious Migrations.

He is a member of the Austin Advisory Board for the Dialogue Institute Austin and is also a former member of the board for the Multicultural Refugee Coalition. He is originally from Pittsburgh, PA. Is a fan of all things and sports related to Pittsburgh. In his free-time he still plays rugby, bakes pies, is an avid salsa dancer, and recently has taken up tango.
